Gemma Hayter Wins Isle of Man L-Style Women’s Open Title

The Isle of Man L-Style Women’s Open delivered another high-class day of darts at the Villa Marina in Douglas as part of the Isle of Man Caliburn International Darts Festival. Proudly supported by Caliburn Darts, L-Style, the Isle of Man Tourism Board and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, the event attracted a strong field and produced quality performances throughout the draw.

After a demanding run through the knockout stages, it was Gemma Hayter who lifted the title, finishing in style with a convincing victory over Steph Clarke in the final.

Final

In the final, Hayter produced a composed display to defeat Steph Clarke 5–1. Hayter averaged 80.83, while Clarke averaged 74.67, as Hayter capped off an excellent tournament run to become Isle of Man L-Style Women’s Open Champion.

Semi-Finals

Hayter reached the final with a strong 4–2 victory over Vicky Pruim, averaging 89.63 in one of the standout performances of the latter stages.

On the other side of the draw, Steph Clarke edged past Rhian O’Sullivan 4–2 to secure her place in the final.

Quarter-Finals

The quarter-finals produced an impressive final four lineup:

  • Steph Clarke defeated Macy Gibbons 4–2

  • Gemma Hayter beat Deta Hedman 4–2

  • Rhian O’Sullivan overcame Eve Watson 4–0

  • Vicky Pruim defeated Rachel Kingdon 4–2

Tournament Highlights

The Women’s Open featured strong performances from the early rounds onwards, with several players producing notable displays:

  • Gemma Hayter, who fired in an 80.16 average in the Top 64 and an 89.63 average in the semi-finals

  • Steph Clarke, who came through a deciding-leg contest against Lorraine Hyde in the Top 16 before reaching the final

  • Rhian O’Sullivan, who produced an 83.50 average in a dominant Top 16 win over Lyn Marsden

  • Vicky Pruim, who showed her consistency throughout the event on her run to the semi-finals

  • Macy Gibbons and Deta Hedman, who both reached the quarter-finals after solid performances

From the Top 128 through to the final, the event showcased the depth of talent in the women’s game and added another strong chapter to the festival.
